Frankie's New Hair Do

So i know a while back, i wrote a blog on Frankie's first haircut, but it was just a little trim and not much of a hair cut. Last time daddy surprised me by taking Frankie to get his haircut, so i decided to get revenge... :) So this time i decided to take Frankie to get a haircut without daddy's knowledge. But i decided to go all out and get a full on chop of his long locks, lol. I want a big boy haircut for my big 2 year old. So i took him in to sports clips and the stylist even complimented Frankie specifically saying, "He is the best 2 year old i ever had sit in my chair, i could just take him home with me" in her cute little southern accent. I love hearing that because that must mean I'm doing something right. So he sat quietly and after it was all done i couldn't believe how much he looked like frank. All in all, it was a good day for Mr.Frankie, He walked out of the sports clips with a bag of animal crackers and a lollipop. I couldn't wait for daddy to get home to see this because it was such a big change. When he walked through the door, he was in shock and he loved it!! He also agreed that Frankie is a spitting image of him, its almost funny. So here it is... MY BIG BOY

He is going to be a lady killer! I'm going to have trouble on my hands

^Look at that cheesy smile, he is a hoot

^Back of the cut

^Profile, isn't he adorable??

^And last but not least, a picture with daddy right after he got home with his new big boy haircut. Now come on, tell me this child isn't a twin to his daddy?? How cute!

Wait, my kids already have a truck? Are they 16 already??

Oh hold on, they are not quite 16 yet, lets not rush it please. I'm already to sentimental for my own good :) But yes its true that they have a brand new Ford F-150. Power Wheels F-150 that is!! :) Let me begin by saying this was an absolute surprise to me too, frank was acting weird all morning, then he took off with the car. He came home then proceeded to tell me to stay out of the garage til he tells me to come out, which if you know me, is like TORTURE!!!! To top it off, it took him like an hour to put the thing together and by that time, i was crazy. When i finally got to open the garage door the power wheels was parked in the driveway, lol, like it was our brand new car. I couldn't believe my eyes, ONE because i thought it was going to be a hall tree that Ive been wanting for like ever(but just so you know, I'm way happier he got this for the kids) and TWO because i had no idea he was even thinking about getting one of these. It was his promotion gift to his kiddo's. Frankie was napping at the time but Jenna and Nathan took it for a quick joy ride. But as soon as Frankie got up this was his reaction....in picture form....

He runs outside not really realizing whats there at first(pic below)

WAIT, WAIT, whats this, this isn't usually here...

OK, I'm going to touch it because I'm not sure what to think of this..

So, i just sit in it and play, right mom?? and yes that is Clifford the big red dog in the back of the truck, you are not seeing things, lol. We almost got pulled over by the cops for having him ride in the bed of the truck. :)

OHHHH, it moves!! WOO HOO!!!.....

The reason, i only have Frankie's reaction to the power wheels is because Nathan didn't really care and Jenna was scared of it at first, we had to talk her in to even driving it but she is my cautious child, which is great but she just wants to be 100% sure first. SO the best, funniest reaction was Frankie...

So this is day two of the power wheels fun...

Also, Frankie got a turn driving but as you will be able to see in the following pictures, it wasn't exactly, ummm, coordinated, i guess would be the word... daddy was trying to help but Frankie couldn't get the concept that you have to steer the wheel and press the gas at the same time. He would just randomly take off, i mean come on he is 2!! Here ya go..

So here is the beginning of Frankie's joy ride, as you can see by the look of Jenna and Clifford's face, it was a little scary to have Frankie behind the wheel

Daddy standing close by, just in case. Jenna's face is priceless

Now she is clutching on to Clifford for dear life while Frankie has that devilish grin on his face, hilarious...

You might ask what Nathan is doing... well just chilling would be the word for this cool guy...

The 4th Of July!!

All i can say about our fourth of July weekend is...
BBQ
Fireworks
Friends Thomas, Gracie, and Abby
Neighbors together
Red,white, and blue cupcakes
Sparklers and snap poppers
Zoo trip
Fun in the sun at the pool
Late nights

It was a great weekend spent with great friends, Thomas, Gracie, and Abby. We feel blessed to have them in our lives and we truly enjoyed our weekend spent with them. I'm happy we are close enough to see each other even though its only for a short time. It was the perfect fourth of July and i wouldn't change a thing. Please don't forget about the men and women serving our country, the reason we can celebrate on the 4th is because of heroes like my husband and Thomas.I hope your weekend was as memorable as mine.
And also, you wont see many pictures of Nathan because he went to bed early both nights, he was wore out with all the action.

My Hubby is now a SGT First Class

So, guess who got promoted? well i guess the obvious person would be frank!! :) and you would be right. In 7 years in the united states army, he has moved up 7 ranks which is almost unheard of. But i guess that just shows what kind of soldier he is. Typically someone that is a SGT First Class has been in the army for about 12-15 years. I told him that he is the best damn soldier the army has ever seen and i think he is one of those people that were made for the military. So in the army they have a promotion ceremony where the wife usually "pins" the husband with his new rank and i couldn't wait to do it. Especially cause the last time he got pinned (staff sgt), he was deployed in Afghanistan, so i wasn't able to put on his new rank, i just had to see it in pictures :( So this was extra special for me. Originally frank told me there wouldn't be that many people there but it ended up being quite more. So i was so extremely nervous standing up there in front of everyone. I mean i literally was the only person that wasn't in ACU's (uniform), so i was sticking out like a sore thumb. But it all happened really quick, the SGT Major said a little speech/bio about frank and i pinned him with his new rank. The kids weren't exactly making things easy, Nathan kept playing with this really loud toy, lol, it was a telephone that kept saying "PRETTY BABY" and would break out into this annoying song. So the whole time in the background we heard that but hey it was the only thing that was keeping him quiet. Then Jenna and Frankie were fighting over who was going to hold daddy's drill sgt hat, ohhh, lol, it was pretty funny actually. I'm sure everyone was thinking, Geez why don't you go and have another kid, SARCASM of course, lol. But i have to say, standing there putting that brand new rank on my husband makes me feel so extremely proud of him and proud to be an army wife. Jenna is just starting to realize that her daddy is a soldier and a hero, and i cant wait for my boys to learn that. We are an army family and we will support daddy in every way we can. So congratulations to you SGT First Class Jakubowski, i look forward to seeing you progress in your career and i will be by your side every second of it. I love you so much and cant express how proud i am of you. I feel privileged to be your wife and you are our hero.

^ So this is the beginning of the ceremony where Sgt Major King is telling a bio on frank about his career in the army and such.

^ This is me putting on Frank's new rank. I am so damn proud of this man!! :)

^This is the end of the ceremony where they gave him his certificate and we took a photo.

^This is frank giving his speech where he thanks everyone but me, lol. I have to give him a hard time about that but i know he was nervous. :) I'm kidding, honey. I know how thankful you are for me and the kids. Doesn't he just look so handsome??

^So here are the kids watching daddy and i, you can see Nathan's little phone which i was talking about earlier. Frankie is eating his captain crunch, and Jenna is all decked out in her red, white, and blue. And you can see at the moment daddy's hat is still on the desk but not for long. :) They soon after were fighting over it.

^This picture is right before the ceremony started, i was sitting in this desk feeling like i was back in school or something, look how cute Jenna looks. I'm sorry we didn't get more pics but we didn't get much of an opportunity to. Right after the ceremony i left and frank had to stay in the room, so we didn't get any family pics. But we got some cute ones anyhow. So thats pretty much it, lol, :)
