So, guess who got promoted? well i guess the obvious person would be frank!! :) and you would be right. In 7 years in the united states army, he has moved up 7 ranks which is almost unheard of. But i guess that just shows what kind of soldier he is. Typically someone that is a SGT First Class has been in the army for about 12-15 years. I told him that he is the best damn soldier the army has ever seen and i think he is one of those people that were made for the military. So in the army they have a promotion ceremony where the wife usually "pins" the husband with his new rank and i couldn't wait to do it. Especially cause the last time he got pinned (staff sgt), he was deployed in Afghanistan, so i wasn't able to put on his new rank, i just had to see it in pictures :( So this was extra special for me. Originally frank told me there wouldn't be that many people there but it ended up being quite more. So i was so extremely nervous standing up there in front of everyone. I mean i literally was the only person that wasn't in ACU's (uniform), so i was sticking out like a sore thumb. But it all happened really quick, the SGT Major said a little speech/bio about frank and i pinned him with his new rank. The kids weren't exactly making things easy, Nathan kept playing with this really loud toy,lol, it was a telephone that kept saying "PRETTY BABY" and would break out into this annoying song. So the whole time in the background we heard that but hey it was the only thing that was keeping him quiet. Then Jenna and Frankie were fighting over who was going to hold daddy's drill sgt hat, ohhh, lol, it was pretty funny actually. I'm sure everyone was thinking, Geez why don't you go and have another kid, SARCASM of course, lol. But i have to say, standing there putting that brand new rank on my husband makes me feel so extremely proud of him and proud to be an army wife. Jenna is just starting to realize that her daddy is a soldier and a hero, and i cant wait for my boys to learn that. We are an army family and we will support daddy in every way we can. So congratulations to you SGT First Class Jakubowski, i look forward to seeing you progress in your career and i will be by your side every second of it. I love you so much and cant express how proud i am of you. I feel privileged to be your wife and you are our hero.

^This is frank giving his speech where he thanks everyone but me, lol. I have to give him a hard time about that but i know he was nervous. :) I'm kidding, honey. I know how thankful you are for me and the kids. Doesn't he just look so handsome??
^So here are the kids watching daddy and i, you can see Nathan's little phone which i was talking about earlier. Frankie is eating his captain crunch, and Jenna is all decked out in her red, white, and blue. And you can see at the moment daddy's hat is still on the desk but not for long. :) They soon after were fighting over it.
^This picture is right before the ceremony started, i was sitting in this desk feeling like i was back in school or something, look how cute Jenna looks. I'm sorry we didn't get more pics but we didn't get much of an opportunity to. Right after the ceremony i left and frank had to stay in the room, so we didn't get any family pics. But we got some cute ones anyhow. So thats pretty much it, lol, :)
