Easter Weekend with the Jakubowski Kids!

So this is going to be a very long blog with a lot of pictures. I'm going to start with Saturday morning. On post they were having a "SPRING JAMBOREE" and Easter egg hunt, I'm figuring out that the army doesn't put much money into family events. On the flyer they claim they had tons of fun activities but they had a bunch of tables set up with literally junk, one table had an aluminum can stacking contest, lol. Anyways, there was a couple cute things we did while we were there, so i'll begin with the pictures...

^Frankie wasn't scared of the Easter bunny at all. He's a tough guy but Jenna was kinda apprehensive

^Jenna in the fire truck

^This was Jenna and daddy at this put you hand in the box and guess whats in there, just by touch and again Jenna was apprehensive, lol

^ Here is Jenna and Frankie throwing bones into the doggie's mouth, you were supposed to stay behind the line but Frankie is too cool for the rules, lol, as you can see. KEEP READING THERE IS MORE.......

Moving on to Easter Egg Dying! This was later in the day after Frankie's nap, you can see that he looks still tired and his hair is still messy, lol. This was more fun for Jenna but Frankie enjoyed it....

SOOO, Here come's Sunday, Easter morning. They got up, opened their Easter baskets first. Then they did the Easter egg hunt which was by far the most exciting thing for both of them. And then we had some homemade waffles for breakfast. It was a nice, relaxing morning. Except that Nathan was running a 102.2 fever and cranky as can be. More pics.. keep going...

SOOOO... After breakfast, we got all the kids dressed in their easter sunday best and went outside to take some.... guess what you think it might be... PICTURES!!!! It was wet out, so we had to put down a blanket so they wouldnt ruin their clothes. Let me tell you, it is very hard to get three kids to all look at the camera at the same time, but we tried our very best. And the outcome.....

So, they boys went down for their nap and my Jenna and I started our traditional easter lamb cake. Every year we do this and i would say this is the first year where jenna was really excited about it. Her job was to die the easter grass(coconut)green and to help frost the lamb. She named him LAMBY, how original, huh? LOL. She also picked out the black eyes and pink nose for the lamby's face. She opened up all her plastic easter eggs to find the jelly beans for him. So CUTE!!! I look forward to easter to make another cute cake with jenna. Every year we make him a little different, this year we decided to put pretty easter sugar sparkles all over him. So here he is.....

Here comes the end of the day when we had our dinner. I cooked ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, and rolls. As you can see frankie's favorite was mashed potatoes, just like his daddy. Jenna loved the ham, she had like 3 pieces of it. We all had full bellies and we relaxed together for the rest of the night.. here are a couple more pics....

And that is the end of our wonderful, easter weekend. I hope you enjoyed it. We had tons of fun!!!!!

Outdoor Sportsmans Classic, Family Fun??

Well my idea of a fun Sunday afternoon usually wouldn't include the words outdoor sportsman's classic but I have to say it turned out to be quite a fun time. Frank and I were watching TV one night and all the sudden the commercial for this event comes on and I'm thinking in my head, Oh great i bet frank is going to want to go to this, right when the commercial is over, he goes "We are going to that". Do i know my husband or what?? So anyways, they had a few things there for the kids to do, so i said what the hell, LET'S GO! There was this little fishing pool, i guess you would call it, filled with live fish that are common in south carolina. So Daddy, Jenna, and Frankie went fishing while Nathan and I sat on the sidelines watching. Frankie and Jenna loved it and i was really hoping someone would catch a fish but no such luck. Also they got to shoot bebe guns with daddy's help, of course. We made our way over to the food and had a nice, big lunch and that was our afternoon. Everyone was pretty tired when we got home, Frankie and Nathan took long naps. I would have to say the biggest kid of all today was frank because he was in heaven with all the outdoor crap, lol. :) What can i say he married an indoor kinda gal. :) So do you think i have pictures????? OF COURSE I DO!!!! ENJOY!

ALSO~ this picture below is Frankie stealing some kettle corn from one of the stands,LOL!! OK just kidding, but it would be funny wouldn't it. We bought it and he insisted on holding it because he thinks hes a big boy, even though the bag was as big as him!!

Leapin Lizards

I know i told everyone in my previous blog that i would be writing more often but there is always some reason which makes it hard lately, but trust me i plan on getting more blogs going. So we go to this place near our house called leapin lizards, actually Jenna had her 5Th birthday here and she loved it. Anyways, i decided to get a pass to come here as often as we would like and we are taking advantage of that. On this day we met up with Jenna's friend Susanna and her little sister Emily. Its also nice for me to go because i could talk to Jennifer(Susanna's mom) and its all gated, so all the kids could run free while we just sit on the couch. Well all the kiddo's except Nathan that is because hes stuck with his mama, hes not quite moblie yet. :) Leapin Lizards has all these blow up jumpy thingy's, dress up, kitchen set, pretend store, pirate ship, and all other fun things for the kids to do. I hope to start taking them at least once a week especially because it wears them out so much that i get them into bed about a hour earlier, which is GREAT FOR ME!!!!! The most important thing for me is to make sure my kids have a childhood that is full of fun and laughter, that's a big reason why i try to take them to these fun places. Even though sometimes it is a pain in the butt to get everyone dressed and out the door but its all worth it. So now i want to share the cute pics from our play date at leapin lizards, enjoy.

Nap Time?

I probably don't have to tell you how absolutely adorable this picture is. Daddy and my sweet baby doll Nathan taking a little cat nap together. Even when Nathan becomes an adult and every year he grows bigger, i will always remember him as this innocent, sweet baby boy that feel asleep in daddy's arms. It all goes by so quick and this little moment frozen forever in time will be something i will cherish. I'm getting sentimental on you all but its so true. Frankie and Jenna are getting so big, its almost hard to remember them being little babies. Sometimes i wish they could stay little babies forever, but then i remember the poopy diapers, sleepless nights, temper tantrums, and never eating a meal in peace, so then i say well maybe its OK that they grow, HEHE!! :)

SNOWING IN SOUTH CAROLINA!!??!!???!!!???!!

Ok, so this is weird, we are literally getting snowed in down here in south carolina. It seems so weird to see palmetto trees with snow on them and its really cold. I know I shouldn't be complaining because i should be used to snow considering I'm a Midwest girl but geez. Its actually quite hilarious how much everyone freaks out here just because of a few inches of snow. Everything closes down and they tell you to not leave your house, stock up on non perishables, its entertaining. I mean come on now people, its just a little snow. But of course we had to take advantage of the snow, so we took the kiddo's outside to play. The big problem was we had to go scrambling around the house for gloves, hats, and scarfs. We didn't have any boots or snowsuits because we havent bought any since we lived here, so we only could stay out for a little while. Let me begin by saying that frankie was freaked out by the whole thing, he didn't want to go in the grass where the snow was higher. After I would say about 5 minutes, he was more than ready to come inside. Now my sweetie Jenna on the other hand, could of stayed out there all night. She built a mini snowman, made a snow angel, had a snowball fight with daddy, and just ran around like she was a snow fairy. She was so excited, more excited than i have ever seen her. So of course, like always, i have some adorable pictures of my loves to show you. Oh and by the way, nathan was sleeping in his nice and warm crib, so he didn't go outside with us.

Aren't my children sweet??

Who says that brothers and sisters don't get along! Well as of right now at least, get back to me when they are teenagers and i just might have a different story. I just had to share some of these photos with all of you. The pic where Jenna and Frankie are under the blanket on the couch is adorable, don't you think? That is from the morning, right when they got up, I always turn on cartoons for them in the morning while i am getting their food ready.... and all the sudden Frankie and Jenna are cuddled up together!!

And then later that exact same day... We usually have a family movie night on Saturdays and we decided to watch BOLT, which is the cutest movie, it made me laugh quite a bit. Anyways, Jenna is sitting on the carpet watching the movie and here comes Frankie plopped down on the floor and layed his head in her lap. She just started rubbing his head and he started to close his eyes. I ran and got the camera because it was the sweetest thing i ever saw them do, lol. Usually Frankie gets all cuddly at night when he is tired and this specific night, he wanted to cuddle with his big sis. Wait, Am i chop liver now?? I think i might be. So here it is..

To continue this love fest over here, lol, Frankie and Jenna also love giving their little brother Nathan hugs too.. as you can see... these pictures were from last night(Superbowl night). We all love each other so very much and it really shows, huh? :)

ALSO, sorry about not blogging for sooo long. Its been really busy over here and we are all getting over this cold/stomach flu thing. how fun for us! But I'm back on the wagon and i will be blogging a lot more. So check back often.
