Happy Labor Day!!

We had a very special labor day this year, as a family we went to our first parade. It was the Chapin Labor Day festival and the theme was "Let Freedom Ring". So of course i had to dress the kids in matching red, white, and blue outfits courtesy of grandma!! :) As you can see here...

I know they are my kids, but damn they are cute!! :) So we had so much fun. The festival was in this cute little country town called chapin. Everyone was friendly and happy to be there. I think everyone thought we had twins because they were in the double stroller, so we might as well of been in the parade because we got a lot of attention. One of the highlights of the parade was when the VFW motorcycles came by and Frankie was waving at one of the guys and he must of thought Frankie was so cute, because he jumped off his bike while the parade was still going just to give him a high five.... here is Frankie waving at him...

and here he is getting back on his motorcycle after giving Frankie a high five, lol

Frankie was so surprised, i think he was in shock after that!! Also the kids loved the people throwing candy off the floats. I told them in order to get the candy they had to wave and say hi to them, so after i told them that they were waving like crazy....

And here they are ready to pick up their candy that the lady on the float just threw for them....

If i had to pick Nathan's favorite part it would of either been the marching band...

OR... eating his lollipop that his generous big sister and brother shared with him after collecting all their candy... as you can see in this picture with daddy..

We only have a few more weeks left in SC, so we are enjoying the many activities they have and creating lasting memories. We move around so much and i think it is important that we make the places we live in memorable and like a home. Happy Labor Day to all and i hope you enjoyed the long weekend. We certainly loved having daddy home with us! :)

Columbia Marionette Theatre

Ive been hearing about this marionette theatre since i have moved here but we just haven't had an opportunity to take the kids. I guess it could be because since we have lived here, we had two babies and it never seemed to be convenient to go. But the kids are now at a perfect age to enjoy something like this, so we packed up our kiddo's and went. The building was really interesting it looked like a castle, you might want to know what show was playing at the theatre....

Jack and the Giants, it was kind of a twist on the story jack and the beanstalk. I wish i could say i really enjoyed the performance but BORING would be the word. What we do for our kids, huh? :) As long as they enjoyed it which they certainly did. I think at first Frankie was a little hesitant because the lights dimmed dark and the giants were the first characters to come on stage but he ended up loving it. Nathan just sat and watched quietly for most the time but towards the end he wanted to get up and walk around, so daddy took him to the back. Jenna loved it also. All in all it was a great experience and I'm happy we went. So lets get into the good stuff, the pictures, i got some goodies...
We will start with right before the performance...

And here is a picture from the beginning of the performance with the giants. This is pretty much the best picture i got :)

I love spending time with my family and taking them on new adventures and experiences!!! :)

It's Official, Nathan is a walking fool!!!

My baby walks!! I'm so proud of him, he's crossed over from being a baby to a toddler. But let me tell you it feels like our house just got 100 times smaller because now there is 3 kids walking around. But that's ok with me because having a small house can get hectic and crazy but it is fun! Anyways, I'm truly enjoying Nathan walking because it so cute to see his little wobbly, stompy footed baby walk, there is nothing cuter than that. I'm just so proud of how far he's come, he is completely caught up with his milestones even though he was a preemie. You could tell he feels like such a big boy now and he can hang with the big kids, lol. Don't get me wrong, Frankie is constantly knocking him over not realizing that he doesn't have the best balance yet! And Jenna was just as proud as me, she kept saying,"Oh he's so cute, look he is walking". And every time we have a play date with friends, she tells them how her little brother Nathan is walking, lol. What a mini mommy, huh?? We are just a proud jakubowski bunch :)

Jenna is officially a FIRST GRADER!!

I just cant quite believe that i am a mother to a first grader, it makes me feel old actually, lol. I have said many times that it feels like just yesterday she was a little itty bitty baby in my arms swaddled in a pink blanket. I remember bringing her home to our apartment in Calcium, NY and thinking WHAT DO I DO!!!! But that is long gone, now she is an independent, smart, sweet, soft spoken, beautiful, and creative little lady. I'm so proud of her and to see her hop out of the van as happy as can be on her way to school, i just love it. She was so excited to go to school, at this point she still loves it and i truly hope it stays that way. Its funny because i contemplated walking her to her class but I'm like No, Jenna is a big girl and she can go to her first day like a big kid. I could tell she had so much confidence and felt like she could conquer the world, or at least conquer walking to her first grade class. I felt like crying because i am really going to miss her, i got used to her being home and being a mini mommy. But hey all good things must come to an end, huh?? So i got a few cute pics of her, and yes again, i was that crazy mom holding up the car pool line because i was taking pics of my daughter. But you know what she's only going to go to her first day at first grade once, right?? :)

So this is Jenna bright and early in the morning with her brand new backpack

This is everyone in the car getting ready to drive their big sister to school. I think at this very moment they were thinking, UMMM, MOM why am i up this early and where the hell are we going, lol, as you can tell by the looks on the boys faces.

Now this is Jenna getting out of the car, as happy as a clam. And yes at this point I'm holding up the car pool line and making parents behind me angry but I DON'T CARE!! :) Isn't she cute??

Jenna's First Sleepover

Well 6 is a perfect age to have your first sleepover, right?? I certainly think it is.It was quite hilarious because i told Jenna that her room had to be nice and clean if she wanted Sarah to come over for a sleepover. So when i went up to check if it was all clean, not only was it SPARKLING but she also set up a tea party with a centerpiece and hats, it was so adorable. I called frank up right away and we both got such a kick out of it. What a good little hostess, lol. Isn't she creative....

Sarah got dropped off at our house at 7pm and to start the sleepover we played outside and Jenna took her for a joyride in her F-150 power wheels, they went to pick up guys, lol, just kidding, they just cruised the neighborhood. After that they came inside and they played dress up. Jenna has all sorts of dress up clothes from Halloween's past and princess dresses.

So then it was time for bed, they got in pajama's, brushed their teeth, and got in the tent so i can read a story called Franklin's First Sleepover, how fitting, huh?? :)

And no Frankie did not sleep in the tent with them and he was quite upset about that. The girls were having so much fun together and Frankie wanted to be in the action but he is used to having Jenna all to himself and i think he was a little jealous. It took the girls awhile to finally fall asleep but that's the whole point of a sleepover to just giggle and whisper all night, right?? So they woke up the next morning, I made them pancakes, mmmmm.

It was a great activity to end the summer because she starts FIRST GRADE tomorrow morning and i thought it would be a great memory. I could tell she had so much fun and they get along so well. They are so cute together and i really enjoyed watching them giggle and be girly. I know i don't have too many years of this left with Jenna, so i cherish it.

Frankie's New Hair Do

So i know a while back, i wrote a blog on Frankie's first haircut, but it was just a little trim and not much of a hair cut. Last time daddy surprised me by taking Frankie to get his haircut, so i decided to get revenge... :) So this time i decided to take Frankie to get a haircut without daddy's knowledge. But i decided to go all out and get a full on chop of his long locks, lol. I want a big boy haircut for my big 2 year old. So i took him in to sports clips and the stylist even complimented Frankie specifically saying, "He is the best 2 year old i ever had sit in my chair, i could just take him home with me" in her cute little southern accent. I love hearing that because that must mean I'm doing something right. So he sat quietly and after it was all done i couldn't believe how much he looked like frank. All in all, it was a good day for Mr.Frankie, He walked out of the sports clips with a bag of animal crackers and a lollipop. I couldn't wait for daddy to get home to see this because it was such a big change. When he walked through the door, he was in shock and he loved it!! He also agreed that Frankie is a spitting image of him, its almost funny. So here it is... MY BIG BOY

He is going to be a lady killer! I'm going to have trouble on my hands

^Look at that cheesy smile, he is a hoot

^Back of the cut

^Profile, isn't he adorable??

^And last but not least, a picture with daddy right after he got home with his new big boy haircut. Now come on, tell me this child isn't a twin to his daddy?? How cute!

Wait, my kids already have a truck? Are they 16 already??

Oh hold on, they are not quite 16 yet, lets not rush it please. I'm already to sentimental for my own good :) But yes its true that they have a brand new Ford F-150. Power Wheels F-150 that is!! :) Let me begin by saying this was an absolute surprise to me too, frank was acting weird all morning, then he took off with the car. He came home then proceeded to tell me to stay out of the garage til he tells me to come out, which if you know me, is like TORTURE!!!! To top it off, it took him like an hour to put the thing together and by that time, i was crazy. When i finally got to open the garage door the power wheels was parked in the driveway, lol, like it was our brand new car. I couldn't believe my eyes, ONE because i thought it was going to be a hall tree that Ive been wanting for like ever(but just so you know, I'm way happier he got this for the kids) and TWO because i had no idea he was even thinking about getting one of these. It was his promotion gift to his kiddo's. Frankie was napping at the time but Jenna and Nathan took it for a quick joy ride. But as soon as Frankie got up this was his reaction....in picture form....

He runs outside not really realizing whats there at first(pic below)

WAIT, WAIT, whats this, this isn't usually here...

OK, I'm going to touch it because I'm not sure what to think of this..

So, i just sit in it and play, right mom?? and yes that is Clifford the big red dog in the back of the truck, you are not seeing things, lol. We almost got pulled over by the cops for having him ride in the bed of the truck. :)

OHHHH, it moves!! WOO HOO!!!.....

The reason, i only have Frankie's reaction to the power wheels is because Nathan didn't really care and Jenna was scared of it at first, we had to talk her in to even driving it but she is my cautious child, which is great but she just wants to be 100% sure first. SO the best, funniest reaction was Frankie...

So this is day two of the power wheels fun...

Also, Frankie got a turn driving but as you will be able to see in the following pictures, it wasn't exactly, ummm, coordinated, i guess would be the word... daddy was trying to help but Frankie couldn't get the concept that you have to steer the wheel and press the gas at the same time. He would just randomly take off, i mean come on he is 2!! Here ya go..

So here is the beginning of Frankie's joy ride, as you can see by the look of Jenna and Clifford's face, it was a little scary to have Frankie behind the wheel

Daddy standing close by, just in case. Jenna's face is priceless

Now she is clutching on to Clifford for dear life while Frankie has that devilish grin on his face, hilarious...

You might ask what Nathan is doing... well just chilling would be the word for this cool guy...
